The UPRM Chemical Engineering Department cluster has 24 nodes with a total of 284 cores available for computations submitted through a batch queue.  It includes a head node (Intel Xeon E52640 2.00GHz with 66 GB RAM, 11 T in storage and 16 cores in total), five computing nodes (Intel Xeon E5620 @ 2.40GHz with 49 GB RAM and 8 cores each), three computing nodes (Intel Xeon E5520 @ 2.27GHz with 49 GB RAM and 8 cores each), two computing nodes (Intel Xeon E52620 @ 2.00GHz with 6 GB RAM and 8 cores each), three computing nodes (Intel Xeon E5520 @ 2.27GHz with 6 GB RAM and 8 cores each), five computing nodes (Intel Xeon E5620 @ 2.40GHz with 33 GB RAM and 12 cores each), two computing nodes (Intel Xeon E52620 @ 2.00GHz with 49 GB RAM and 8 cores each), two computing node (Intel Xeon E5620 @ 2.40GHz with 6 GB RAM and 8 cores each), and one GPU that works as a node in the cluster (Intel Xeon E52697 @ 2.60GHz with 264 GB RAM and 28 cores). This GPU also enables us to use CUDA and program in parallel some of the codes. The cluster is also protected by full battery backup.
